Sam Tompkins is a British singer-songwriter from Brighton, England, known for his powerful vocals and emotionally candid blend of R&B, pop and soul. He began his career busking on the streets of Brighton and Eastbourne and building an audience through YouTube before signing with Island Records in 2019.
Tompkins gained international attention through his collaboration with Jnr Choi on “To the Moon,” which sampled Tompkins’ cover of Bruno Mars’ “Talking to the Moon” and became a global hit. His 2022 EP Who Do You Pray To? debuted at No. 7 in the UK, while his 2024 debut album, hi, my name is insecure, reached No. 8 on the UK Albums Chart.
Known for deeply personal songwriting, Tompkins frequently explores love, relationships, insecurity and mental health. His distinctive voice and energetic live performances have earned him support from artists including Justin Bieber, Drake and Sam Smith. He is currently entering a new chapter with 2026 releases including “BEAUTY QUEEN” and “BODY TO BODY.”
