Sam See

Sam See is a Singaporean stand-up comedian, improviser, and emcee recognized for his contributions to South East Asian comedy. See began his career performing stand-up at the open mic Talking Cock in Singapore and was among the first to perform publicly as an openly gay man during a period when homosexuality was illegal in his home country. This experience has influenced his comedic perspective, shaping material that addresses themes of identity and belonging.

Based in London, See has headlined in more than 25 countries and has accumulated a significant online following. He has served as UK tour support for Ed Byrne and Asia tour support for Jim Jefferies, Bert Kreischer, and Kevin Bridges. See has sold out shows in cities including Melbourne, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Berlin, the United States, and Italy. His television appearances include Comedy Central Asia's "Stand-Up Asia," "The Jim Jefferies Show" on Comedy Central US, and MTV. He was also a permanent panelist on Singapore's first comedy panel show, "OK Chope!," which was broadcast live weekly.

See has been recognized at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where his performances received the first five-star review for a South East Asian act from On The Mic. His show "Government Approved Sex" was included in Fest Mag's list of The Best of the Edinburgh Festivals. He also presented "Coming Out Loud" at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, later releasing it online. This show explores topics such as government censorship, charity events, and performing in regions with restrictions on free speech and LGBTQ rights. See was longlisted for the Epigram Books Fiction Prize.
