Sam Presti

Sam Presti, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oklahoma City Thunder, is in his 18th season leading the team and has overseen one of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) most successful modern franchises. Under his leadership, the Thunder posted a historic 68-14 record in 2024-25, setting league records for point differential and double-digit victories while becoming the youngest No. 1 seed in NBA history. Since taking over basketball operations in 2007 at age 29, Presti has guided Oklahoma City to multiple 60-win seasons, seven division titles, four Conference Finals appearances, and the 2012 NBA Finals.

Widely regarded for his eye for talent and player development, Presti drafted or acquired stars including Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Chet Holmgren. He is the only current NBA general manager to draft four All-NBA players and helped engineer the Thunder’s rapid rebuild through a series of blockbuster trades and extensive draft capital accumulation.

Before joining Oklahoma City, Presti rose through the front office ranks of the San Antonio Spurs, contributing to three NBA championship teams. Beyond basketball, he is recognized for his civic leadership and philanthropy, supporting youth development, education initiatives, and community programs throughout Oklahoma.
