Sam Jordan

Sam Jordan is a technology futurist and senior foresight manager at the Future Today Strategy Group, a foresight and strategy firm founded by Amy Webb. Jordan promotes plausible optimism about the possibilities of emerging technologies. She leads the firm's Technology & Computing practice, overseeing research on the future of human-AI interaction, digital ecosystems, next-generation form factors, and computational infrastructure that supports evolving digital experiences.

Jordan provides analysis of data and trends in the technology sector, helping organizations develop and implement customized, future-focused strategies to adapt their businesses. She advises Fortune Top 20 organizations on navigating technological opportunities and risks, using data-driven insights to shape strategic planning.

Her keynote appearances include major industry conferences such as Ragan's Future of Communications conference, where she explains that futurists use strategic foresight to model potential outcomes and prepare organizations for multiple eventualities, rather than predicting the future.

Before her work in strategic foresight, Jordan gained experience in enterprise technology and entrepreneurship. At IBM, she assisted large enterprises in the retail and distribution sector with IT modernization, focusing on mainframes and integrating new software and methodologies with legacy systems. She later co-founded TrovBase, a secure data discovery and analysis sharing platform. These roles in both corporate technology and startup innovation inform her perspective on navigating disruption.

Jordan authored the Future Today Institute's "Tech Trend Report" on the metaverse, computing, and space, and co-wrote the book "A.I." with Amy Webb.
