Sam Hunt

Sam Hunt is a country singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist. Influenced by 1990s country and urban pop styles, Hunt developed a sound that blends country with elements of rap and R&B. After relocating to Nashville, Hunt secured a publishing deal and wrote or co-wrote songs for artists such as Kenny Chesney ("Come Over"), Keith Urban ("Cop Car"), and Billy Currington ("We Are Tonight").

Hunt made his commercial recording debut with the independently released single "Raised on It" and the mixtape "Between the Pines." He later signed with MCA Nashville, releasing "Leave the Night On," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard country singles chart and set the stage for his debut album, "Montevallo." Hunt has contributed to the evolution of modern country music, earning awards including American Music Awards and CMT Music Awards, and receiving Grammy nominations for his approach to songwriting and performance. He continues to work as a recording artist and performer, maintaining a presence in country music through tours and festival appearances.

Hunt transitioned from a college football career at Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham to the music industry after a brief period as a free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs.
