Sahin Boydas

Sahin Boydas is a Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur and engineer recognized for his early adoption and advocacy of remote work in the technology sector. Boydas earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Koc University in Istanbul and an MBA in entrepreneurship from Bahcesehir University. He is an alumnus of programs including 500 Startups, Stanford StartX, Betaworks Vision Camp, and Quark Accelerator. Boydas has managed remote teams for more than a decade, beginning at a time when remote work was uncommon in Silicon Valley startups.

Boydas co-founded "MovieLaLa," a movie marketing platform that reached millions of users through network partnerships and was later acquired by Gfycat. He also founded "MojiLaLa" and "Leo AR." "Leo AR" is a consumer-facing augmented reality app that received recognition from Apple. Across these ventures, including RemoteTeam.com, Boydas led remote teams across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.

As founder and CEO of RemoteTeam, Boydas developed HR and management tools designed for remote-first companies. RemoteTeam provided solutions for payroll, time off, tax compliance, expense tracking, reimbursements, inventory control, productivity management, and document creation, serving remote startups and companies worldwide. RemoteTeam was acquired by Gusto, a U.S. payroll, HR, and benefits platform, expanding Gusto's international payroll and contractor-management capabilities. Following the acquisition, Boydas contributed to building tools at Gusto to facilitate payments to international contractors in more than 120 countries.

In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Boydas is an active investor in the technology and artificial intelligence sectors. His portfolio includes companies such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Scale AI. He has served as an official member of the Forbes Technology Council. Boydas later founded Lovie.co, continuing his focus on technology and the future of work. He has delivered more than 50 talks at universities, encouraging students to pursue careers as software developers, technology entrepreneurs, and remote workers.
