Sabrina Ionescu

Sabrina Ionescu, a professional basketball player, has been a consistent force in the WNBA. As a player for the New York Liberty, Ionescu became the first player in WNBA history to record over 500 points, 200 rebounds, and 200 assists within a single season. She made history again by recording a triple-double in less than three quarters, the quickest in the WNBA, against Chicago in 2022. In the same year, she achieved the first 30-point triple-double at Las Vegas. Her prowess on the court was recognized with her inclusion in the All-WNBA Second Team and as a WNBA All-Star in 2022 and 2023.

Before her professional career, Ionescu had an illustrious time at the University of Oregon. She was the NCAA all-time leader in career triple-doubles and became the only NCAA player to achieve 2,000 points, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 rebounds throughout her college career. Her performance earned her the titles of Naismith Player of the Year, AP Player of the Year, and USBWA Player of the Year in 2020. She was also a three-time recipient of the Nancy Lieberman Award from 2018 to 2020 and a two-time recipient of the John R. Wooden Award in 2019 and 2020.

Ionescu's legacy is not limited to her performance on the court. After being the number one overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft, Ionescu signed a multiyear endorsement deal with Nike. She also joined the Oregon Ducks in a part-time role. In 2023, she was recognized as a WNBA Commissioner's Cup Champion and was also featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, highlighting her influence in the world of sports.
