Sabrina Carpenter is a singer, songwriter, and actress known for her work in pop music and television. Carpenter first gained recognition for her role as Maya Hart on the Disney Channel television show "Girl Meets World," a spinoff of the coming-of-age sitcom "Boy Meets World." She earned her first on-screen acting credit with an appearance in an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and her television work expanded from there. At age 12, Carpenter signed her first record deal with Hollywood Records.

Carpenter built her acting résumé alongside her music career, taking on her first leading film role in the movie "The Short History of the Long Road," which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival and earned her the Jury Award for Best Performance at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. She also executive produced and led the cast of Netflix's "Work It" and made her Broadway debut in Mean Girls. In addition to her acting and music credits, Carpenter was selected for Forbes' "30 Under 30" list.

In music, Carpenter released four albums with Hollywood Records: "Eyes Wide Open," "EVOLution," "Singular Act I," and "Singular Act II." Carpenter gained further mainstream attention as an opening act on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Carpenter's commercial and critical breakthrough came with her sixth studio album, "Short n' Sweet." The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 and produced top-three Hot 100 singles "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and "Taste." "Short n' Sweet" earned six Grammy nominations and two wins: Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Espresso." She also received Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite Song, Favorite Album, and Favorite Female Breakout Artist.

Carpenter continued her momentum with the release of "Manchild," the lead single from her album "Man's Best Friend," which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album charted at number one in multiple countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. "Man's Best Friend" and its songs received six nominations at the Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Carpenter also starred alongside Seth Rogen and Maya Rudolph in a revival of The Muppet Show on ABC and Disney+, serving as executive producer for the variety show featuring comedy sketches and musical numbers, for which she received an Emmy Award.
