Ryley Heppner

Ryley Heppner is a pastor, educator, author, and podcaster known for his commitment to biblical scholarship and accessible Christian teaching. Heppner serves as lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Grand Forks, British Columbia, an Acts 29 member church, where he leads a congregation focused on community building and sharing the Gospel. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Heppner is on staff at Okanagan Bible College, where he contributes to the theological education of future Christian leaders.

Heppner holds a bachelor's degree in biblical studies and a master's degree in Christian studies from ACTS Seminaries. He has also studied at Columbia Bible College, Trinity Western University, and Midwestern Baptist Seminary, where he is a doctoral student in New Testament studies. His ministry experience includes roles as executive director of a Bible camp, director of interns for an action sports ministry, research and teaching assistant, itinerant minister, and academic advisor.

As an author, Heppner wrote the children's picture book "Peter the Leaf and the Purpose of Life," which helps parents and teachers communicate Christian truths to young readers. His articles have appeared in The Gospel Coalition Canada, addressing topics such as humility, self-promotion, theology of suffering, and rejection.

Heppner hosts "The Ryley Heppner Podcast," a platform dedicated to exploring theology, biblical literacy, and Christian living through interviews with theologians, biblical scholars, and cultural commentators. He is also a speaker with Apologetics Canada, contributing to evangelical discourse in Canada. Through his work in the classroom, pulpit, and digital media, Heppner communicates biblical principles and Christian theology to a contemporary audience.
