Ryan Pauly

Ryan Pauly is a Christian apologist, educator, and speaker whose career centers on equipping believers, particularly young people, to engage challenging cultural and intellectual questions. Pauly is the founder and president of Think Well, director of immersive experiences at MAVEN, and an adjunct professor of theology and apologetics at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. He has worked with junior high, high school, and college students as a missionary, educator, speaker, and apologist.

Pauly began his work in apologetics on the mission field. After graduating from college, Pauly served as a missionary in the Dominican Republic, where he spent four years teaching English, worldview, apologetics, and leadership to middle and high school students. He later returned to Southern California and taught courses such as historical Christian doctrine and apologetics, comparative religions and worldviews, and philosophy of ethics at a Christian high school, a role he held full time for 12 years before focusing on his work with Think Well and MAVEN. Pauly joined MAVEN as a field guide for worldview missions experiences and became a trained volunteer apologist for the Reasons to Believe apologetics community.

Pauly launched his blog, "Coffeehouse Questions," which led to additional platforms, including a podcast, a YouTube channel, and the official launch of Think Well. His work in online content creation, teaching, and speaking focuses on equipping Christians to engage cultural issues with a biblical worldview. His research addresses practical issues such as gender and sexuality, race, technology, politics, and deconstruction.

Pauly holds a bachelor's degree in theology with an emphasis in youth leadership from Vanguard University, a master's degree in Christian apologetics from Talbot School of Theology, and is a doctoral candidate in practical theology. He also holds a certificate in science apologetics from the Reasons Institute. Pauly co-authored "Stewarding AI: Faithfully Using Creation Resources" and contributed to the updated "Apologetics Study Bible for Students." He serves as a faculty member at Summit Ministries, is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Reasons to Believe Scholar Community, and volunteers at TalkAboutDoubts.com.

Pauly's work in Christian apologetics, theology, and worldview education continues to focus on equipping Christians to engage cultural issues with confidence and compassion.
