Russell Henley

Russell Henley is a professional golfer recognized for his consistent performance on the PGA Tour. A standout at the University of Georgia, where he studied consumer economics, Henley earned the Fred Haskins Award as the nation's top collegiate golfer. He shared low-amateur honors at the U.S. Open and became only the second amateur to win on the Nationwide Tour by claiming the Stadion Classic at UGA on his home course. Henley also represented the United States in the Walker Cup and on two Palmer Cup teams before turning professional.

Henley began his professional golf career by becoming the first PGA Tour rookie in over a decade to win his debut tournament, setting a scoring record at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He followed this with victories at the Honda Classic, where he prevailed in a four-man playoff, and the Shell Houston Open, highlighted by a final-round 65. Henley added another title at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, equaling the tournament record at 23-under par.

Henley has continued to demonstrate his ability to compete at the highest level, capturing the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill and the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club. His win at Bay Hill included a notable eagle on the par-5 16th hole, and at Colonial, he rallied with three consecutive birdies to force a playoff before securing the title. His best major finish is a tie for fourth at the Masters, and he has recorded multiple top-10 finishes at the U.S. Open and The Open Championship.

Henley has also contributed to international team competitions, posting a 3–1–0 record as part of a victorious U.S. Presidents Cup team and earning a Ryder Cup berth by qualifying fourth on the U.S. points list. Off the course, Henley established the Kevin Brown Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament to benefit the Macon Rescue Mission and FCA, supporting medical care in his hometown. He also created the Chapin Henley M.D. Scholarship Fund in honor of his late father, a physician who founded a free healthcare clinic for the uninsured.
