Roxi Bahar Hewertson

Roxi Bahar Hewertson is a leadership expert, executive coach, and organizational development authority with a career spanning more than three decades across higher education, business, and the nonprofit sector. As a Presence-Based and International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach, she provides practical guidance to help leaders build effective teams and high-performing organizational cultures. Hewertson is the founder and CEO of Highland Consulting Group Inc., a leadership consultancy focused on organizational leadership development and sustainable leadership practices.

Before establishing her consulting practice, Hewertson spent more than 25 years at Cornell University, holding senior roles in Residence Life, Business Services, the Department of Athletics, and the Division of Administration, Facilities, and Finance. She contributed to the development and launch of the Harold D. Craft Leadership Program, a campus-wide initiative. Hewertson earned a Master of Professional Studies from the ILR School at Cornell and served as adjunct faculty, teaching undergraduate leadership courses. She later donated her blended-learning training program, "Leading with Impact: Your Ripple Effect," to Cornell's Department of Human Resources.

Hewertson is the author of several books on leadership and management. Her first book, "Lead Like it Matters…Because it Does," published by McGraw-Hill, offers leaders a step-by-step roadmap grounded in emotional intelligence and practical application. The book has been translated into Chinese. Her second book, "Hire Right, Fire Right: A Leader's Guide to Finding and Keeping Your Best People," published by Rowman & Littlefield, addresses the employee lifecycle from acquisition and retention to closure. She is also the author of the novel "Cross of Ivy" and the parable "How to Build a Space Station: A Parable About Values at Work."

Hewertson has been a keynote speaker and has appeared on the TEDx stage. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur Magazine, Fox Business News, Society for Human Resource Management, Training Industry magazine, and Chief Learning Officer magazine. She has coached more than 150 senior leaders across academia, business, and nonprofits, and has taught live and virtual leadership courses to more than 4,000 people nationwide.
