Rory Feek

Rory Feek is an American country music singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and New York Times bestselling author whose work spans multiple mediums, including chart-topping songs, Grammy Award-winning albums, acclaimed films, and memoirs. Influenced by artists such as Don Williams and Merle Haggard, Feek served two tours in the United States Marine Corps before moving to Nashville to pursue a career in songwriting. A meeting with songwriter Harlan Howard led to a publishing deal, and Feek established himself as a versatile songwriter, creating hits for a range of country music artists.

Feek co-wrote Clay Walker's Top Five hit "The Chain of Love" and achieved his first Number One when Blake Shelton reached the top of the country charts with "Some Beach." His songs have also been recorded by Easton Corbin, Tracy Byrd, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, and Waylon Jennings, among others. He founded Giantslayer Records to support independent artists, demonstrating his commitment to the country music industry.

In partnership with his wife Joey, Feek formed the duo Joey + Rory, which gained national recognition after placing third on the CMT talent competition "Can You Duet." The duo signed with Sugar Hill Records and released their debut album, "The Life of a Song," which reached the country Top Ten and earned three Academy of Country Music Award nominations, including a win for Top New Vocal Duo of the Year. Joey + Rory released seven studio albums, toured internationally, and sold nearly 1 million records. Their final album, "Hymns That Are Important to Us," debuted at the top of both the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top Christian Albums charts and won a Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album.

Beyond music, Feek has contributed to film and literature. He directed the documentary "To Joey, With Love" and the feature film "Finding Josephine," and produced 52 episodes of the weekly television series "The Joey+Rory Show." His memoir, "This Life I Live: One Man's Extraordinary, Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever," debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List and was recognized by the Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, the Washington Post, and USA Today. Feek followed with a second memoir, "Once Upon a Farm," and several children's books, including "The Cow Said Neigh!" and "The Day God Made You."

After the loss of Joey to cancer, Feek released his solo debut album "Gentle Man," featuring collaborations with Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, and Vince Gill. Recorded at his Tennessee farm, which includes a concert hall and a one-room schoolhouse, the album marked a new chapter in Feek's career, characterized by authenticity, faith, and resilience. Feek continues to share his experiences through music, writing, and public engagement, offering insight on themes of love, loss, and storytelling within the country music and entertainment industries.
