Ronnie Wood

Ronnie Wood is a guitarist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, visual artist, author, and radio personality whose career in rock music spans more than six decades. Best known as a member of the Rolling Stones, Wood also played significant roles in Faces and the Jeff Beck Group. He began his career performing with several British rhythm and blues bands before joining the Jeff Beck Group as a guitarist and bassist, contributing to the albums "Truth" and "Beck-Ola." After the group disbanded, Wood and Rod Stewart joined former Small Faces members to form Faces, where Wood primarily played lead guitar and co-wrote songs such as "Ooh La La" and "Stay With Me."

Wood's tenure with the Rolling Stones began after Mick Taylor's departure, when Keith Richards invited him to join the band. Initially joining on a temporary basis, Wood became an official member and contributed to albums including "Black and Blue," "Some Girls," "Tattoo You," "Steel Wheels," "Voodoo Lounge," "Bridges to Babylon," "A Bigger Bang," and "Blue & Lonesome." The album "Hackney Diamonds" marked a chart-topping release for the band. Wood has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of both the Rolling Stones and Faces.

In addition to his work with the Rolling Stones, Wood has maintained a solo career, releasing albums such as "Slide on This," "Not for Beginners," and "I Feel Like Playing." His compilation "FEARLESS: Anthology 1965–2025" highlights his work with the Rolling Stones, Faces, the Jeff Beck Group, and his solo projects. Wood has also toured Europe with the "FEARLESS" tour. As a radio personality, he has presented a show on Absolute Radio, which earned him multiple Sony Radio Personality awards.

Wood is also recognized as a visual artist, having received formal art training at Ealing College of Art in London. His paintings, which often depict musicians, family, and friends, have been exhibited at venues such as the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo and London's Drury Lane Theatre. Wood's "Paint It Black" series commemorates his years with the Rolling Stones. He has authored several books, including his autobiography "Ronnie" and the art book "Wood on Canvas: Every Picture Tells a Story."
