Robert T. Whipple

Robert T. Whipple is an American author, consultant, and leadership expert known as The Trust Ambassador. Whipple serves as CEO of Leadergrow Incorporated, an organization focused on leadership development. He spent more than 30 years as a leader at a Fortune 500 company, where he led a division of over 2,000 people and implemented significant organizational change through effective people management. Whipple held various leadership positions at Eastman Kodak Company in photographic film manufacturing, including a decade as Division Manager in Film Manufacturing.

Whipple is recognized for his methods of fostering trust within organizations, building trust through online communication, and guiding organizations through mergers and acquisitions. As The Trust Ambassador, he has consulted with more than 120 organizations and leadership teams on trust-building strategies. Whipple works with individual clients and large organizations, including government agencies, corporations, and The Rochester Business Alliance. He has taught at several graduate and undergraduate institutions, such as Syracuse University, Roberts Wesleyan College Strategic Leadership Program, St. John Fisher College OL/HRD Masters Program, and University of Phoenix Online.

Whipple is the author of four leadership books: "The Trust Factor: Advanced Leadership for Professionals," "Understanding E-Body Language: Building Trust Online," "Leading with Trust is Like Sailing Downwind," and "Trust in Transition: Navigating Organizational Change." He has contributed to works including "Group Dynamics and Team Interventions" by Dr. Timothy Franz and the Trust, Inc. series edited by Barbara Brooks Kimmel. Whipple publishes articles on trust and leadership and is a top-rated leadership author on the Evan Carmichael platform, with more than 280 published articles.

Whipple has been recognized in the leadership and professional development communities. Inc. Magazine named him to its 100 Great Leadership Speakers List. Leadership Excellence Magazine identified him as one of the top 100 thought leaders in leadership development. Trust Across America: Trust Around the World named Whipple one of the top 100 Thought Leaders on Trustworthy Business for five years and awarded him their Lifetime Achievement Award for Trust Leadership. He has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from ATD and the Consultant's Consultant award from RPCN.

Whipple is a member of the National Speakers Association and speaks across the United States. He has been featured on various international radio programs. Whipple is a founding member of the Alliance of Trusted Business Experts, part of Trust Across America: Trust Around the World, and has been named one of the top 100 thought leaders in trust annually since 2010. Whipple holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Union College, a master's degree in chemical engineering from Syracuse University, and a Master of Business Administration from The Simon School at The University of Rochester.
