Robert Glasper is a Grammy and Emmy Award-winning pianist, composer, and producer celebrated for his genre-defying sound that blends jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and soul. A Houston native and graduate of the New School for Jazz in New York, Glasper gained early acclaim for his work in the jazz world before expanding into broader musical territory with his genre-blurring Robert Glasper Experiment. His groundbreaking 2012 album Black Radio won the Grammy for Best R&B Album and featured collaborations with artists like Erykah Badu, Lalah Hathaway, and Lupe Fiasco.
Glasper’s ability to move fluidly between musical worlds has made him a sought-after collaborator, working with legends such as Kendrick Lamar on the critically acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly, as well as with Common, Herbie Hancock, and Anderson.Paak. Known for his improvisational brilliance and deep musical curiosity, he also composes for film and television, including the score for "The Photograph" and the Emmy-winning "Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool."
With a career that bridges traditional jazz and contemporary Black music, Robert Glasper remains one of the most innovative and influential musicians of his generation.
