Robbie Gould

Robbie Gould is recognized as one of the most accomplished and reliable placekickers in National Football League history, known for his consistency and longevity in professional football. After walking on at Penn State University, where he earned a degree in business management, Gould went undrafted and was briefly signed and released by both the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens before working in construction. His career trajectory shifted when the Chicago Bears signed him midseason, launching an 18-year NFL career.

Gould spent 11 seasons with the Bears, becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer with 1,207 points. During his tenure, he earned First-Team All-Pro honors, a Pro Bowl selection, set a Bears record with 26 consecutive field goals in a single season, and contributed to the team's appearance in Super Bowl XLI. In the postseason, he converted a 49-yard overtime field goal against the Seattle Seahawks, securing the Bears' first divisional playoff win in nearly two decades. After a brief period with the New York Giants, Gould joined the San Francisco 49ers, where he played six seasons and delivered a game-winning 45-yard field goal that sent the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game. Gould appeared in 266 games, converted 86.5 percent of his field goal attempts, and finished as the 10th all-time leading scorer in NFL history with 1,961 points. He maintained a perfect postseason record, converting all 29 field goal attempts and 39 extra point attempts across 16 career playoff games.

Off the field, Gould founded The Goulden Touch Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on education, health and wellness, medical research, and social services. The foundation has raised significant funds for communities in Illinois and Pennsylvania, supported youth scholarships, pediatric cancer organizations, and launched the annual Kicking Hunger campaign, providing meals to youth with limited access to food. Gould also hosted a Celebrity Golf Invitational that raised funds for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. He was named the San Francisco 49ers' nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in recognition of his community impact.

Following his retirement from professional football, Gould transitioned into coaching, serving as head football coach at the high school level in the Chicago area, including at Rolling Meadows High School and St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He has hosted the podcast series "Kickin' It With Robbie," featuring guests from sports and entertainment, and co-created Eventlify, a platform for managing charity golf events. Gould's career reflects discipline, precision, and a commitment to both football and community service.
