Rob Heyvaert

Rob Heyvaert is a financial technology executive, entrepreneur, and investor, known as the founder and managing partner of Motive Partners, a specialist private equity firm focused on technology companies in the financial services sector. Heyvaert has founded, scaled, and exited two global financial services and technology consulting firms. His early venture, Cimad Consultants, introduced a real-time capital markets settlement engine that became foundational to European clearing and settlement infrastructure before being acquired by IBM, where he served as global general manager of securities and capital markets.

Heyvaert later founded Capco, which grew into a global financial technology advisory and execution firm with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. Capco was acquired by FIS, a major provider of transaction processing services for financial institutions. At FIS, Heyvaert was appointed corporate executive vice president of global financial solutions, overseeing strategic initiatives, including the $9.1 billion acquisition of SunGard, one of the largest deals in fintech history.

As managing partner at Motive Partners, Heyvaert leads investments in financial technology companies, with a portfolio that includes InvestCloud, Accordion, and FNZ. He is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Milken Institute Global Conference and is recognized for expertise in scaling businesses, executing complex transactions, and driving innovation in financial services.
