Rita Barreto is an entrepreneur, leadership consultant, and motivational speaker with a career spanning four decades in leadership development, human resources, and organizational transformation. As the founder and president of Top Tier Leadership, Barreto has partnered with global brands to build leadership bench strength, enhance employee engagement, and support business growth. Her work focuses on fostering leadership, cultivating healthy business cultures, and empowering professionals to take ownership of their career development.

Before establishing her consulting firm, Barreto built a corporate career that provided the foundation for her expertise in leadership and diversity. She served as Florida Power & Light's first female human resources manager, senior affairs advisor, and equal employment opportunity officer. As the company's first diversity director, Barreto's leadership contributed to the organization receiving national recognition among companies with more than 10,000 employees. Over 23 years, she held leadership roles in a Fortune 500 company, working with individuals, corporations, public-sector organizations, and associations. Her client portfolio includes Microsoft, Pratt & Whitney, Office Depot, and international organizations in China, Singapore, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil.

Barreto is recognized as a leadership consultant, business coach, and motivational speaker, known for designing training programs and delivering workshops, keynote addresses, and executive retreats. She holds the Certified Speaking Professional designation from the National Speakers Association and has delivered a TEDx talk on the role of traditions in employee engagement.
