Rik Roberts

Rik Roberts is a Nashville-based clean comedian and keynote speaker whose career spans more than three decades of headlining stand-up performances, corporate events, fundraisers, and faith-based gatherings. Roberts launched his comedy career in Columbus, Ohio, as a touring member of the improv troupe "Midwest Comedy Tool and Die," and by the mid-1990s had begun headlining comedy clubs across the country. After relocating to Nashville, he shifted his focus toward bringing clean comedy to groups, churches, and corporate clients, noting that his material had always been clean, even in the roughest of clubs. His ability to deliver comedy-club-level laughs while remaining family-friendly has made him a sought-after performer on the clean comedy circuit.

Roberts has developed a diverse portfolio of keynote programs that blend humor with actionable content. His keynotes combine inspiration, strategy, and relevant humor, with offerings such as the customer service keynote "The Mayberry Method" and the team-building workshop "Listen Up, Laugh it Up." His emphasis on storytelling has shaped his speaking career, and he maintains an engaging pace in his keynote programs by incorporating stories, facts, current events, visuals, and audience participation to ensure relevance for each group. As a member of the National Speakers Association, Roberts has refined his business practices and sharpened his focus on serving clients professionally.

Roberts has also appeared on television and in film, with credits including "Clean Comedy All-Stars" (Pure Flix), Chonda Pierce's "Stand-Up For Families" (DOVE), a DryBar Clean Comedy Special (VidAngel), "Huckabee" (TBN), and "20 Greatest Redneck Moments" (CMT). He is a regular on SiriusXM Radio's Laugh USA and Jeff and Larry's Comedy Round Up. Roberts portrayed a Barney Fife impersonator in the film "Mayberry Man," which was released in theaters and is available on Amazon Prime. He was also a writer and performer on "The Henry Cho Comedy Show" on Great American Country. His portrayal of the Mayberry deputy has become a signature part of his live performances, engaging audiences at corporate events and fundraisers.

Beyond performing, Roberts has invested in the next generation of comedians. He founded "The School of Laughs," a series of classes and workshops designed to help comedians develop their skills and craft their material more effectively, with more than 1,000 students having completed the program. Many of these students have gone on to become full-time comedians. He also launched a podcast by the same name, available on all major platforms. Active in the Christian Comedy Association, Roberts has served on its Board of Directors and held the roles of vice president and president.

Roberts is a cancer survivor, and his faith played a significant role in his journey. He has channeled that experience into a charitable cycling initiative, "Go Fast, or Go Far," an effort to cycle the distance around the world (25,000 miles) while raising $1 million for charities. He has raised more than $600,000, overcoming challenges along the way. Whether performing stand-up, delivering a keynote, or sharing his story of perseverance, Roberts brings authenticity and laughter to every stage.
