Ricky Price

Ricky Price attended Duke University as a highly regarded basketball recruit. A McDonald's All-American Slam Dunk Champion, he was named a USA Today, AP, and Parade Top 5 player nationally. Price represented the United States in the Junior Olympics in Argentina, where he earned a gold medal. He chose Duke over Kansas and played as a guard/forward for the Blue Devils, earning All-ACC honors and contributing to two regular-season championships. Price became one of only 75 players in Duke history to score 1,000 career points.

During his time at Duke, Price faced challenges, including a broken finger that affected his performance during his junior year and a semester of academic probation as a senior, which led to a loss of his starting role. He continued to contribute off the bench, helping Duke secure its second consecutive ACC regular season title. Under the mentorship of Coach Mike Krzyzewski, Price developed skills and values that influenced his career in basketball and beyond.

Price's professional basketball career spanned a decade, including stints with teams in Europe and Asia, as well as the Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, and Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA. He also played in U.S. pro leagues such as the International Basketball League and the Continental Basketball Association. After his playing career, Price served as vice president of operations for Worldwide Hoops Sports Marketing and worked as a correspondent with Raycom Sports for ACC College Basketball.

Price founded Game Ready Skills and Development LLC, where he provides basketball training and development for athletes of all ages and skill levels. At Game Ready, he emphasizes fundamentals and discipline, helping clients ranging from young athletes with professional aspirations to adults seeking to improve their game.

In addition to his work in basketball training, Price is a keynote speaker and author, focusing on leadership, teamwork, and personal development. He is the author of "Celebrate Your Wins," which includes a foreword by Coach Krzyzewski. The book offers guidance on building confidence, resilience, and a high-performance mindset. Price draws from his athletic background to deliver insights on success and leadership, connecting lessons from basketball to corporate and personal environments.
