Richard Wiseman

Richard Wiseman is an English experimental psychologist and bestselling author. He has been described by Scientific American as "one of the most interesting and innovative experimental psychologists in the world today."

Wiseman's books have sold over 3 million copies and been translated into over 30 languages. His self-help books include 2003's "The Luck Factor," 2007's "Quirkology," and 2009's "59 Seconds: Think a Little, Change a Lot." Wiseman is also interested in the paranormal and other psychic phenomenon, having written 2011's "Paranormality: Why We See What Isn't There" about the topic.

He holds Britain’s only Professorship in the Public Understanding of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire and he is one of the most followed psychologists on Twitter. Wiseman was named one of the Top 100 People Who Make Britain A Better Place to Live by the Independent On Sunday.

Wiseman has created psychology-based YouTube videos that have attracted over 500 million views. He also acts as a creative consultant, having worked with Derren Brown, The Twilight Zone and the hit television show, Brain Games.
