Richard Seymour

Richard Seymour's career in professional football was marked by numerous accolades and recognitions, beginning with his first-round selection in the 2001 NFL Draft. This set the stage for a meteoric rise that saw him become a three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, earning titles in Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX. His performance on the field earned him a place in seven Pro Bowls between 2002 and 2011, with three First-Team All-Pro selections from 2003 to 2005, and two Second-Team All-Pro selections in 2006 and 2011.

In 2009, Seymour transitioned to the Oakland Raiders, making an immediate impact by starting all 16 games in his debut season. His performance in the following years culminated in him becoming the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL in 2011.

Following his retirement from professional football, Seymour turned his attention to the world of poker, becoming a professional player. He also maintained his ties to the NFL, purchasing a 0.5% stake in the ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024. His significant contributions to the sport were recognized by his induction into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2022, as well as his inclusion in the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team, the New England Patriots All-2000s Team, 50th Anniversary Team, and All-Dynasty Team.
