Reese Hoffa Biography
Michael Reese Hoffa is a three-time Olympian in Shot Put from 2004 to 2012, winning the bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Hoffa was also 2012 Diamond League champion, world outdoor champion in 2007, world indoor champion in 2006 and world indoor silver medalist in 2004 and 2008. He won the gold medal at the 2003 Pan American Games.
Seeking one final hurrah in 2016, Hoffa qualified for his 18th consecutive finals at the outdoor nationals. However, he wound up fifth and young rivals Ryan Crouser and Joe Kovacs went on to win the gold and silver in Rio. Upon retirement, Hoffa is focused on starting a family with his wife Renata and he works with kids at his Hoffa Throws Academy.
