Redmond Ramos

Redmond Ramos is a combat veteran, amputee athlete, and motivational speaker whose journey from military service in Afghanistan to international athletic competition has established him as a prominent voice on resilience and positivity. Ramos joined the military at age 18, becoming a Navy Corpsman with the Marines. He deployed to Afghanistan as a combat replacement for 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, and while assisting an injured Marine, he sustained injuries from an improvised explosive device, resulting in the loss of his left leg. Ramos is one of four brothers who all served as Navy Corpsmen with the Fleet Marine Force, supporting Marine infantrymen in combat.

Ramos has achieved significant success in adaptive sports, earning 19 medals—including seven gold—by competing in the Invictus Games in London, the Endeavor Games, and the Warrior Games in the United States. He has also competed on "The Amazing Race" and the Triumph Games, becoming the fourth amputee and the first male amputee to compete on the American version of "The Amazing Race."
