Rece Davis

Rece Davis is a prominent sports broadcaster known for his extensive work with ESPN. Davis graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with Bachelor of Arts degrees in broadcast news and public affairs. He began his career in local journalism as a freelance television play-by-play announcer in Alabama, a position he held for a decade. Davis later served as a sports anchor and sports director at WRBL-TV in Columbus, Georgia, before moving to WJRT-TV in Flint, Michigan. He joined ESPN, where he hosted programs including "SportSmash," "NBA 2Night," and "RPM 2Night/2Day," establishing himself as a versatile on-air presence in sports media.

Davis is the host of ESPN's Emmy Award-winning "College GameDay Built by The Home Depot," becoming the third host in the show's history. In addition to "College GameDay," he hosts major college football events such as the "College Football Playoff National Championship" and the NFL Draft on ABC. During basketball season, Davis hosts "College GameDay Covered by State Farm" and anchors coverage from the State Farm Champions Classic and NCAA Men's Final Four. He has also served as host of the NBA Draft on ESPN and hosts the weekly ESPN "College GameDay" podcast.

Under Davis's leadership, "College GameDay" has earned multiple Sports Emmys for best weekly studio show, and he has received nominations for Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Host. Davis's accolades include the Lester Jordan Award and the Jake Wade Award from CoSIDA for contributions to intercollegiate athletics, Best Sports Host from Cablefax, and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame's Distinguished American Sportsman Award. He was recognized as the University of Alabama School of Communication Broadcast Department's outstanding alumnus and inducted into the University of Alabama College of Communication and Information Sciences Hall of Fame.

Davis also serves as ESPN's lead host for international soccer events, including coverage of the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro, and the FIFA Confederations Cup. He has expanded his coverage to tennis, hosting Wimbledon from the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The "College Football Playoff Top 25 Rankings Show," which he hosted, received recognition from Sports Video Group for Outstanding Live Non-Game Production at the College Sports Media Awards. Davis is recognized for his journalistic approach and expertise in sports broadcasting, college football, college basketball, international soccer, and tennis.
