Rebecca Knill

Rebecca Knill is a writer, keynote speaker, and disability advocate whose work spans creative scriptwriting, corporate consulting, and technology. Knill is known as the author of the "Church Dramas" book series, a multi-volume collection of comedies and dramas written for Sunday services. Each volume, including "Church Dramas: Volume 4," features scripts that blend humor and faith-based themes, making them accessible for congregations and general readers.

Knill has built a career in financial services, serving as a business systems consultant manager with experience in consulting and project management roles specializing in regulatory change and automating compliance controls. Her background as both a creative writer and technology professional provides a cross-disciplinary perspective relevant to audiences interested in digital transformation, accessibility, and inclusive design.

Knill has become a public voice on disability, technology, and inclusion. She grew up profoundly deaf, learning to lip read and navigate a hearing world independently. After experiencing progressive hearing loss, she underwent cochlear implant surgery, a topic she has discussed in her TED@WellsFargo talk, "How Technology Has Changed What It's Like to Be Deaf." The talk explores the evolution of assistive listening technology and challenges cultural attitudes toward deafness and ability.
