Rebecca Hessel Cohen is a New York-based entrepreneur, creative director, and founder of the fashion and lifestyle brand LoveShackFancy.

Raised in a family already steeped in fashion and beauty, her mother served as a creative director at Seventeen, Cohen was exposed to the world of style from a young age. She launched her career with internships at Vogue, Elle and Teen Vogue, before going on to work as a senior fashion & beauty editor at Cosmopolitan. While planning her own wedding in 2013, Cohen found it difficult to find bridesmaid dresses she truly loved, so she and her mother designed their own. That “love dress” led to trunk-shows across the Hamptons and eventually to the formal birth of LoveShackFancy.

Under Cohen’s leadership, LoveShackFancy has grown from a single dress idea into a full lifestyle brand offering apparel, beauty, home decor, and more, with boutiques across the U.S. and partnerships with major retailers. Cohen is known for her romantic, maximalist vision — floral prints, lace, and whimsical details are signature to her aesthetic. Cohen’s creative process and business instincts have been tested by challenges, she has publicly spoken about learning wholesale logistics on the fly, recovering from orders she had to take back, and navigating the COVID-era disruptions — but she credits those moments with shaping the resilience and ethos of her brand.

On a personal level, Cohen is married to Todd Cohen, a real estate developer who partners with her in various ventures. Together they have two daughters, Scarlett and Stella, who inspire aspects of her creative vision and help make LoveShackFancy a family-centered venture.
