Raji Rajagopalan

Raji Rajagopalan is a technology executive whose career at Microsoft spans more than two decades, advancing from software engineer to a senior engineering leader. Rajagopalan has held a variety of engineering and product leadership roles across the organization, including positions on the Windows Developer Platform, Azure, and the CoreAI group. She serves as vice president of engineering at Microsoft and GitHub, overseeing teams responsible for GitHub Issues, Notifications, and core developer experiences. Her transition from the Microsoft Foundry Team to her current role reflects her focus on advancing developer platforms and AI-driven software development.

Rajagopalan has led global engineering teams, building and launching products used by more than a billion customers. She has managed teams of software engineers across multiple countries and continents, contributing to the growth of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and developer tools. In addition to her product development work, Rajagopalan has supported over 50 entrepreneurs in launching social enterprises that impact their communities.
