Rachel Grady

Rachel Grady is an American documentary filmmaker and co-owner of Loki Films, a Brooklyn-based production company she co-founded with her creative partner, Heidi Ewing. Loki Films specializes in both short and feature-length documentaries, as well as television and commercial projects. The company’s name references the Norse god of mischief and is also a play on the words “low key,” reflecting the founders’ high-energy approach to filmmaking.

Before launching Loki Films, Grady worked as an associate producer in the documentary field, developing her skills in nonfiction storytelling. Grady and Ewing are recognized for their focus on exploring complex and often controversial topics in American society, maintaining an approach that allows the subjects of their films to guide the narrative rather than advocating a specific viewpoint.
