R. Scott Dennis

R. Scott Dennis is the chief executive officer of Invesco Private Markets and Invesco Real Estate, overseeing strategy, execution, and management of the firm’s global private market business. With a career in investment management spanning more than four decades, Dennis has contributed to the expansion of Invesco Real Estate’s platform from $200 million in assets under management to more than $87 billion, operating across 21 offices in 16 countries. He has guided the firm through multiple market cycles, including periods of significant disruption, positioning Invesco to capitalize on emerging opportunities in real estate investment and private markets.

Dennis began his investment career in 1981 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 1992, initially leading the U.S. acquisitions team and later co-heading the North American group. Prior to Invesco, he held roles at Bankers Trust Company, structuring equity and debt investments, and at Trammell Crow Company, managing investments for opportunistic funds. Dennis has been directly involved in more than $100 billion of real estate investments, reflecting his expertise in global real estate and private equity.

Dennis is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Milken Institute Global Conference, where he addresses topics related to real estate investment, private markets, and capital markets. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and real estate from The University of Texas at Austin.
