Régine Clément

Régine Clément is the president and CEO of CREO, a not-for-profit organization focused on mobilizing private capital into clean, renewable, and environmental investment opportunities. Since joining CREO as its inaugural CEO, Clément has contributed to transforming the sustainability investment landscape by partnering with more than 200 family offices, foundations, and select pension funds across over 25 countries. Under her leadership, CREO has facilitated the deployment of billions of dollars annually into climate and sustainability solutions, supporting the global decarbonization transition across asset classes.

Clément has expertise in catalyzing investment and fostering innovation within the cleantech and renewable energy sectors. Prior to CREO, she served as trade commissioner and head of energy and environment at the Canadian Consulate General in New York, where she co-founded the Canadian Technology Accelerator for Cleantech, supporting early and growth-stage companies in accessing capital and strategic partnerships. Her professional experience also includes roles as executive director of SENS Production, a site-specific dance company in New York, and as a trade and environmental policy analyst with Fundación Futuro Latino Americano in Ecuador.

Clément has appeared at international forums such as COP28 and the Milken Institute Middle East and Africa Summit, sharing insights on sustainable finance and environmental innovation. She holds an MSc in international political economy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. Clément is recognized as a prominent voice in the global movement toward environmental impact investing.
