Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez

Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez is a Latine activist, writer, and speaker whose work focuses on the intersection of feminism, theology, and social justice. Mojica Rodríguez earned a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, an academic foundation that informs her approach to storytelling and advocacy. As a first-generation student and immigrant, her work centers on articulating the experiences of first-generation students navigating systems not designed for them. Mojica Rodríguez combines storytelling with pedagogy to help audiences understand systemic oppression.

She is the founder of Latina Rebels, a platform with more than 350,000 followers. The community-centered platform explores the complexities of Latinidad through memes, activism, and calls to action, while uplifting Latinas across industries. Much of her work involves using storytelling and content curation to make academic theories accessible to broader audiences. Mojica Rodríguez has been featured in Telemundo, Univision, Mitú, Huffington Post Latino Voices, Latina Mag, NBC, MTV, Cosmopolitan, Everyday Feminism, PopSugar, NPR, New York Magazine's The Cut, and Teen Vogue.

Mojica Rodríguez is the author of "For Brown Girls with Sharp Edges and Tender Hearts" and "Tías and Primas: On Knowing and Loving the Women Who Raise Us." Her debut book addresses the challenges Latinas face navigating racism, sexism, and classism, covering topics such as colorism, imposter syndrome, respectability politics, and toxic masculinity, and draws on her personal stories and cultural experiences. Los Angeles Times praised the book for its prose and its role in addressing the wounds of white supremacy. Her second book, "Tías and Primas," explores healing and resilience. Both books are published by Seal Press, a subsidiary of Hachette Book Group.

Mojica Rodríguez has contributed to the YA anthology "Nevertheless, We Persisted," wrote for the anthology "The Fearless Rise and Powerful Resonance of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez" edited by Lynda Lopez, and contributed to the New York Times Best Selling anthology edited by Roxane Gay titled "The Portable Feminist Reader." Her collaborations include work with the United Methodist Church, the National Endowment of the Arts, the Smithsonian, NALAC, and Planned Parenthood, and she was invited to the Obama White House.

Mojica Rodríguez has shared her work with college and university students across the United States.
