Pia Toscano

Pia Toscano is an American singer known for her vocal range and presence in the pop and soul music industries. A graduate of LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York City, Toscano began performing at age 4, singing at local events, winning the New York Mets' annual Anthem Search competition, and fronting the wedding band Current Affair before gaining national attention. Influenced by artists such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Etta James, and Luther Vandross, she developed a soulful sound that resonated with audiences.

Toscano gained national recognition as a contestant on Season 10 of "American Idol," where her semi-final performance of "I'll Stand by You" received a standing ovation. Despite an early elimination in ninth place, her departure was widely discussed in the media and among viewers. After "American Idol," Toscano signed with Interscope Records and released her debut single, "This Time," performing it on So You Think You Can Dance, Good Morning America, and Live with Regis and Kelly.

Toscano continued her career in the music industry by releasing the EP "Belong" and the album "I'm Good," which included the single "Walk Through the Fire," co-written by Usher and Nasri.
