Peter Moore

Peter Moore is a British-American business executive recognized for his leadership in the video game and professional sports industries. Moore's career spans more than three decades, encompassing roles in sports marketing, gaming, consumer products, technology, and global sports brands. He has held senior positions including senior vice president of global sports marketing at Reebok, president of Sega of America, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business overseeing Xbox, president of EA Sports, chief operating officer of Electronic Arts, and chief executive officer of Liverpool Football Club.

Moore began his gaming industry career at Sega of America, where he managed Sega's video game business in North America and oversaw the launch of the Sega Dreamcast. He advanced to president, leading Sega's transition from hardware to a focus on software development. Moore later joined Microsoft, initially heading Xbox marketing before becoming corporate vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business. In this role, he led both the Xbox and Games for Windows businesses and became known for his unique approach to product announcements, including displaying tattoos of "Halo 2" and "Grand Theft Auto IV" during major game reveals.

At Electronic Arts, Moore served as president of EA Sports, guiding the division through significant growth with the release of titles such as "FIFA," "Madden NFL," and "NBA Live." He was promoted to chief operating officer, where he provided strategic oversight for global operations, product development, publishing, and technology initiatives. Moore directed efforts to streamline operations, focusing on high-impact projects and expanding into social, mobile, and free-to-play gaming formats. As chief competition officer, he led Electronic Arts' initiatives in esports, strengthening the company's presence in competitive gaming.

Moore later became chief executive officer of Liverpool Football Club, overseeing the club's business operations. During his tenure, Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and Premier League. Moore also established the Peter Moore Foundation, supporting initiatives related to social isolation, food poverty, cancer research, and Alder Hey Hospital.

Moore continues to contribute to the sports, gaming, and technology sectors. He is the author of the autobiography "Game Changer: Playing to Win at Xbox, EA Sports and Liverpool Football Club," published by Liverpool University Press, which details his professional journey and leadership insights. Moore has served on the board of directors of Nomadar, a NASDAQ-listed company, and as a board advisor and minority shareholder of Polish football club Wisła Kraków, reflecting his ongoing influence in global sports and entertainment.
