Peter Goldsborough

Peter Goldsborough is a self-taught software engineer and defense technology entrepreneur whose career spans Silicon Valley artificial intelligence research and military innovation. After leaving college in Austria, Goldsborough joined Facebook's AI research team at age 19. He taught himself programming as a teenager and briefly attended the Technical University of Munich before choosing to gain practical experience by building real-world systems.

Goldsborough has held roles at companies including Facebook, Google, and Bloomberg LP, where he contributed to large-scale systems and projects in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Alongside co-founder David Tuttle, Goldsborough worked at Anduril Industries, leading integrated hardware-software initiatives within Anduril's C2 Systems Division to support military operations.

Recognizing the critical role of military logistics in Joint All Domain Command & Control (JADC2) efforts, Goldsborough and the founding team established Rune Technologies to address gaps in industry focus on logistics. Rune Technologies has secured $30.2 million in funding from investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and Human Capital.

As co-founder and chief technology officer of Rune Technologies, Goldsborough applies his engineering expertise to address persistent challenges in military logistics. Rune's core product, "TyrOS," tracks inventory across supplies, vehicles, personnel, and medical equipment, integrating data to support decision-making and optimize resource delivery. The software uses demand forecasting to help planners anticipate shortages and maintain operational readiness. Rune Technologies emphasizes a human-centered approach, with Goldsborough designing systems that support, rather than replace, human decision-makers.

Rune's AI agent, "Saga," builds on "TyrOS" by leveraging operational and sustainment knowledge, functioning as a digital logistician that learns from real-time and historical trends. "TyrOS" was deployed with the U.S. Army's 4th Infantry Division, where it became a critical component during a National Training Center rotation at Fort Irwin, California. Within six months, more than 50 logisticians were using the system in high-pressure environments.

In addition to his work at Rune Technologies, Goldsborough serves as a Cyber Auxiliarist for the USMC Cyber Auxiliary.
