Peter Doocy

Peter Doocy serves as senior White House correspondent for FOX News Channel, where he has become one of the most visible reporters in the press corps. He joined the network in 2009 as a general assignment reporter in New York before moving into political coverage, eventually earning his promotion to senior White House correspondent in 2024.

Doocy is the rotating co-host of the TV show, "The Sunday Briefing."

In his role, Doocy covers the president’s domestic and international activities, as well as issues that shape the administration’s agenda. He is known for asking direct, sometimes pointed questions during White House briefings, often sparking headlines and fueling political debate. His exchanges with President Joe Biden in particular have drawn national attention, including a 2022 hot-mic moment in which Biden insulted him after a question about inflation, and a 2024 exchange where Biden made light of Doocy’s question about his memory.

During the 2020 election cycle, Doocy reported extensively on Biden’s campaign, the Georgia Senate runoffs and the transition to the Biden administration. In the years since, he has continued to cover Biden’s presidency, traveling with the president and pressing senior officials on issues ranging from economic policy to foreign affairs. In September 2025, he expanded his role at FOX News as co-anchor of “The Sunday Briefing,” a weekly program alongside White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich.

Doocy has also remained in the public eye for personal milestones. He married FOX Business correspondent Hillary Vaughn in 2021, and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Bridget, in 2023. Their second child, a son named George, was born in April 2025.
