Peter Dankelson is a guitarist, motivational speaker, and advocate whose remarkable story inspires others to live their best life. Dankelson combines his passion for music and storytelling to spread messages of resilience, self-acceptance, and authenticity.
Born with Goldenhar Syndrome, a rare craniofacial condition, Dankelson has endured nearly 40 surgeries, turning every challenge into an opportunity to demonstrate the power of positivity. Playing guitar is Dankelson’s medicine of choice for improving mental health, reducing anxiety, and expressing emotions. He encourages others to find a creative outlet that provides these benefits.
Dankelson has been honored as a Patient of Courage by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Champion of Hope by Global Genes. He is an ambassador for Children’s Craniofacial Association, the front man for the Pete’s Diary band, and co-author of his autobiography, "How I Learned to Rock My Life: The Peter Dankelson Story."
