Pete Crow-Armstrong

Pete Crow-Armstrong, known by his initials PCA, is a center fielder for the Chicago Cubs and a prominent figure in Major League Baseball. Crow-Armstrong began his baseball career at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, where he was named Los Angeles Times Player of the Year after posting a .395 batting average with 47 hits and seven strikeouts over 34 games. He represented the United States at the U-18 Baseball World Cup, earning a silver medal. Crow-Armstrong was selected by the New York Mets with the 19th overall pick in the MLB Draft. After a shoulder injury in his first professional season, he was traded to the Cubs in a deal involving Javier Báez.

Crow-Armstrong progressed through the Cubs' minor league system and became recognized as one of baseball's top defensive prospects. He was named MiLB Defensive Player of the Year and made his MLB debut in September. In his rookie campaign, he demonstrated elite speed and defensive skills, going 23-for-23 in stolen base attempts to start the season, the second-most consecutive successful stolen bases by a rookie since 1951.
