Pete Blank

Pete Blank is a leadership expert, author, and keynote speaker whose career spans more than three decades across both The Walt Disney Company and local government. After working as a television sportscaster, Blank began his Disney career and managed various areas of Disney's theme parks and resorts, gaining experience in organizational management and customer service.

He spent much of his time at Disney University, where he led the Traditions program, facilitated college-level courses for Disney College Interns, and served as a Segment Learning Manager for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Cruise Line. Blank received the "Partners in Excellence" Award from Disney, presented to the top 3 percent of all employees. He is the only professional speaker to earn the designations of Certified Speaking Professional, Certified Facilitator of Training, and Senior Certified Professional in HR. Blank is also a former president of the Birmingham Chapter of the Association for Talent Development and received the Learning! Champion Award from Elearning! Magazine. These credentials reflect a career grounded in organizational development and human performance.

For nearly two decades, Blank has served as the Training and Organizational Development Manager for the Personnel Board of Jefferson County, designing and delivering leadership development classes for more than 7,000 local government employees. He also speaks across the United States to help companies strengthen leadership, boost team performance, and create workplace cultures focused on employee engagement and customer experience. This dual career as both practitioner and speaker provides Blank with a practical perspective that resonates with audiences at all levels.

Blank is the author of two books on organizational culture. In "Employee Engagement: Lessons from the Mouse House," he shares stories and insights on how Disney keeps more than 50,000 cast members dedicated to their work. His follow-up, "55 Ways to Add Disney Magic to Your Organization," draws on his experience inside Disney's theme parks and offers actionable lessons for organizations. His third book, "Pick Up The Roach! How Great Leaders do the Dirty Work," explores leadership strategies for tackling challenging tasks.

For several years, Blank has shared leadership and motivational messages every Monday on "Good Day Alabama" on WBRC-TV, reaching viewers across Central Alabama. His "Pete's Points" video blogs deliver short leadership insights to more than 10,000 leaders each week. Whether on stage, on television, or in print, Blank translates lessons from Disney into practical strategies for building stronger leaders, engaged employees, and exceptional customer experiences.
