Paula Creamer is a professional golfer recognized for her achievements on the LPGA Tour. Creamer, often referred to as the Pink Panther due to her affinity for the color pink, gained attention early in her career with a standout rookie season that positioned her as a leading figure in women's golf. As an amateur, she secured 19 national tournament victories, including 11 American Junior Golf Association events, and was named AJGA Player of the Year.
Creamer turned professional at 18 after winning the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament by five strokes. In her debut season, she won the Sybase Classic, becoming the youngest winner of a multiple-round tournament in LPGA history at the time, and followed with an eight-shot victory at the Evian Masters in France. She became the youngest and fastest player to reach $1 million in LPGA career earnings and earned a spot on the U.S. Solheim Cup team as the youngest player to do so. Creamer was named LPGA Rookie of the Year and finished second on the money list with more than $1.5 million in earnings.
A significant moment in Creamer's career occurred after she underwent surgery for a thumb injury, which included repairs to the ulnar collateral ligament and palmar plate. In her fourth tournament after returning, she won the U.S. Women's Open at Oakmont Country Club, finishing as the only player under par and four strokes ahead of the field. Throughout her career, Creamer has recorded 10 LPGA Tour victories and 12 professional wins overall, reached a career-high ranking of No. 2 in the Women's World Golf Rankings, and earned more than $12 million in career prize money, placing her among the top 20 earners in LPGA history.
Creamer has also contributed to women's golf as an assistant captain on the U.S. Solheim Cup team and has competed in seven Solheim Cups as a player. She has been involved in charitable initiatives, including hosting the annual Paula 4 Kids Celebrity Event to support The First Tee of Sarasota/Manatee, providing scholarships to IMG Academy, and operating a foundation that assists junior golfers and military families.
