Paul V. Butler

Paul V. Butler is an executive leadership coach and strategic advisor specializing in corporate leadership development and transformational coaching. Butler has built a career at the intersection of organizational excellence and strategic decision-making, focusing on how effective managers think, lead, and drive results.

Before founding his own firm, Butler developed expertise in sales, marketing, and human resources at Pfizer and Procter & Gamble (Gillette), where he led large organizations. He later established GlobalEdg, The Executive Development Group, a leadership development firm dedicated to building future leaders' capabilities. GlobalEdg has advised and coached leaders across more than 50 organizations, and Butler's STAR (Strategic Thinking – Action – Results) program has produced over 3,000 alumni. His clients include Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Johnson & Johnson, Cardinal Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and Green Mountain-Keurig.

Butler is the co-author of "Think to Win: Unleashing the Power of Strategic Thinking," published by McGraw-Hill. The book presents a model for strategic thinking and addresses complex business challenges. Butler also interviews business leaders on the Association of Talent Development Leadership Diary Podcast series, contributing to thought leadership in executive coaching and organizational strategy.

In addition to consulting, Butler serves as an adjunct professor at the Jack Welch School of Business and Technology at Sacred Heart University, integrating executive experience into academic settings. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Coaching, a McLean affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and holds certifications in stakeholder-based coaching through the Marshall Goldsmith method, as well as leadership assessment credentials from the Center for Creative Leadership. Butler's nonprofit work includes engagements with The Sandy Hook Promise, CECP, the YMCA, and the National Leadership Roundtable, emphasizing leadership development for social impact. He holds a master's degree in organizational leadership and learning from The George Washington University.
