Paul Sagoo

Paul Sagoo OBE is a British entrepreneur and founder of Lemon Group International Ltd, a UK-based investment company with a portfolio spanning events, media, and capital ventures. After initially studying medicine at King's College London, Sagoo transitioned into technology, gaining experience with major firms before selling his own IT company and moving into the events industry. This shift marked a significant moment in his career, influencing how the global Asian community is recognized internationally.

Sagoo founded "The Asian Awards," an annual event that celebrates the achievements of the global Asian community. The awards were established to honor the highest levels of achievement across business, sport, entertainment, philanthropy, and the arts. The inaugural ceremony took place at Grosvenor House Hotel and was hosted by Lord Sebastian Coe. Over the years, the awards have recognized individuals such as Sachin Tendulkar, Zayn Malik, Shah Rukh Khan, and Bruce Lee. The event attracts over £30 billion of wealth to the ceremony each year.

In addition to "The Asian Awards," Sagoo has founded Refine Events, the British Science Awards, and the British Photography Awards, contributing to the creation of recognition platforms in the United Kingdom. The British Science Awards are recognized as the world's only international awards body for excellence in science, technology, and engineering. Sagoo has also participated in philanthropic initiatives, partnering with Global Citizen at The Asian Awards. The platform has raised £2.5 million for charities including Save the Children and Global Citizen.

Sagoo was selected as one of the original LinkedIn Influencers, alongside James Caan and Sir Richard Branson, sharing insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, and disruptive thinking. He is a keynote speaker who addresses topics such as executive leadership, business leadership, and the challenges faced by entrepreneurs from migrant backgrounds in the United Kingdom.
