Gibbons is the author of eight books on leadership, change, ethics, and technology, including "The Science of Organizational Change" — ranked among the top change management texts of all time — and "Adopting AI: The People-First Approach" (2025), rated "best book on AI in 2025." He is the creator of Adaptive Adoption, a seven-pillar framework for AI adoption grounded in behavioral science, and the Adaptive Adoption Maturity Index (AAMI).

For over three decades, Gibbons has advised the world's leading firms — including Shell, Microsoft, Google, HSBC, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, IBM, Amex, Barclays, and the London School of Economics — on their most complex human challenges: culture, ethics, technological disruption, and the future of work. Previously, he was a Partner at IBM Consulting and a Senior Academic Advisor to Deloitte.

Gibbons's career spans quantitative finance, consulting, and academia, with advanced studies in molecular biology, economics, organizational behavior, and philosophy. European by upbringing, he now lives in Colorado.
