Patrick Leddin

Patrick Leddin, PhD, is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, leadership expert, and keynote speaker with more than three decades of experience leading teams in military, corporate, and academic environments. Leddin has served as a U.S. Army master parachutist, infantry, ranger-qualified officer, and held roles including company commander, executive officer, and platoon leader in the 82nd Airborne Division, completing Airborne, Jumpmaster, and Ranger schools. He has also worked with senior corporate leaders at KPMG Consulting and FranklinCovey.

Leddin holds a PhD in strategic communication from the University of Kentucky. His background combines military discipline, corporate experience, and academic research, providing a foundation for his work in leadership development and organizational performance.

He is the author of several books, including the Wall Street Journal bestseller "The 5-Week Leadership Challenge: 35 Action Steps to Become the Leader You Were Meant to Be" and the New York Times bestseller "Disrupt Everything—and Win: Take Control of Your Future." "Disrupt Everything—and Win," co-authored with James Patterson, is based on The Disruption Project, a research initiative at Vanderbilt University, and offers practical tools for leaders navigating organizational change. Leddin's earlier works, such as "Oliver's Spot" and "Oliver's Spot for the Public Sector," focus on making leadership principles accessible to a broad audience.

Leddin currently serves as FranklinCovey's Leadership and Culture Practice Leader. His roles at FranklinCovey have included director of strategic partnerships and senior delivery consultant. As a former associate professor and associate director of the practice of business studies at Vanderbilt University, Leddin taught courses in corporate strategy, negotiation, advanced marketing, and crisis leadership.

He is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded two businesses with his wife: Leddin Group, LLC, and The Wedgewood Group, Inc., an Inc. 5000 company. Leddin is the founder and host of the "Leadership Lab" podcast and the host of FranklinCovey's "C-Suite Conversations." He has interviewed more than 120 guests, including Stephen M.R. Covey, Patrick Lencioni, and Marshall Goldsmith. Leddin's speaking and consulting work has included partnerships with organizations such as General Electric, Samsung, the U.S. Secret Service, and Boston Consulting Group, reaching audiences across North America, Europe, and Asia.
