Pat Grady

Pat Grady is a venture capitalist serving as co-steward and managing partner of Sequoia Capital, a prominent investment firm in Silicon Valley. Grady holds a bachelor of science degree in economics and finance with a concentration in mathematics from Boston College. Before joining Sequoia Capital, he worked as an associate at Summit Partners. Grady joined Sequoia at age 24, becoming the youngest person hired by the firm at that time.

At Sequoia, Grady has played a significant role in shaping the firm's enterprise investment strategy, with a focus on software, fintech, and healthcare companies. He has contributed to the growth of several companies from early stages to public offerings. Grady has co-led growth-stage investments, including Sequoia's involvement in Snowflake, a cloud computing company that completed the largest enterprise software IPO in U.S. history. He also co-led investments in OpenAI, legal AI startup Harvey, and medical AI platform OpenEvidence.

Sequoia Capital named Grady co-steward alongside Alfred Lin, following Roelof Botha's tenure. Under this leadership, Sequoia has raised significant new funds and expanded its focus on artificial intelligence within venture capital. Grady also co-hosts the "Training Data" podcast with Sonya Huang, discussing enterprise technology and AI.
