Paolo Ardoino

Paolo Ardoino is the chief technology officer at Bitfinex, a leading cryptocurrency exchange. Ardoino developed an early interest in computer hardware, networks, and cryptography. After graduating from Genoa Computer Science University, he worked as a researcher on a military project focused on high-availability, self-recovering networks and cryptography, where he refined his expertise in distributed systems and cryptographic protocols.

Ardoino expanded his skills in various programming languages and developed a focus on distributed systems, high-performance computing, and cloud platforms. With an interest in financial technology, Ardoino began developing finance-related applications and later co-founded Fincluster as chief technology officer. Fincluster delivered a cloud-based financial application platform for advisors, fund managers, and institutions, serving clients in London, Milan, and Lugano.

Ardoino joined Bitfinex as a senior software developer, working on trading engine development, platform scalability, and high-availability systems. He later became chief technology officer, overseeing the development team, evaluating new technologies, and designing the Bitfinex backend platform. Ardoino also serves as lead backend developer at Bitfinex and chief technology officer for Tether, contributing to advancements in blockchain technology, digital assets, and financial infrastructure.
