Othman Laraki

Othman Laraki is a technology entrepreneur, investor, and the co-founder and CEO of Color Health, a healthcare company focused on expanding access to cancer care. Before entering the healthcare sector, Laraki held product leadership roles in Silicon Valley, including at Google, where he contributed to performance infrastructure and client-side software such as the Google Chrome browser. He managed products including Google Toolbar, Google Gears, early Firefox extensions, and FastNet, a real-time fetching and caching infrastructure. After Google, Laraki co-founded MixerLabs, which was acquired by Twitter. At Twitter, he served as vice president of product, where he helped develop the company’s first revenue products and supported user growth from 50 million to 200 million.

Color Health operates a Virtual Cancer Clinic, providing services in cancer prevention, detection, screening, diagnosis, and survivorship care. Laraki’s transition from technology to healthcare was influenced by personal experiences with cancer in his family, including carrying the BRCA2 gene mutation. By integrating genomics, telehealth, and logistics infrastructure, Color Health aims to make prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship more accessible for patients and care teams. The company also manages population-scale genetic testing, including the NIH "All of Us" research program, which is among the largest genomic datasets assembled.

Color Health is recognized as the largest virtual cancer clinic in the United States and was created in partnership with the American Cancer Society. The company collaborated with OpenAI to develop "Cancer Copilot," an AI architecture designed to generate clinical recommendations for clinicians, thereby broadening access to oncology expertise across various healthcare settings. Developed with UCSF and OpenAI, the tool demonstrated high concordance on patient cases in early testing. Color Health has served more than 7 million patients since its founding.

Laraki is also an investor and advisor to companies such as Pinterest, AngelList, Slack, Instacart, and GitLab. He is a frequent speaker on topics at the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine, including appearances at conferences such as Startup Grind. Laraki’s career spans foundational internet infrastructure and the transformation of cancer care delivery, positioning him as a notable figure in both the technology and healthcare industries.
