Orny Adams is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer whose career spans more than two decades across live performance, television, and streaming platforms. Adams first gained national attention with his appearance in the documentary "Comedian," directed by Christian Charles, which contrasted his career trajectory with that of Jerry Seinfeld as both developed new stand-up material. The film introduced Adams to audiences beyond the comedy club circuit.

After graduating from Emory University with degrees in philosophy and political science, Adams began performing stand-up in Boston before relocating to New York City, where he established himself as a working comedian and earned early recognition from The Hollywood Reporter. His persistence led to high-profile television appearances, including "Late Show with David Letterman," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and "Conan."
