Nikki Goldstein

Nikki Goldstein is a Sydney-based journalist and bestselling author known for translating complex life questions into accessible language for a broad readership. Goldstein began her career at Vogue and later held senior editorial positions at ELLE, Marie Claire, and Financial Review Magazine. She has authored 16 books, including the internationally published teen self-empowerment series "GirlForce." The "GirlForce" series, comprising seven books, was published in the United States, Russia, Israel, and Greece, and received an Australian Publishing Association Award for Best Designed Children's Series. The series also expanded into a line of yoga wear, cosmetics, and stationery for Target.

Goldstein is the founder of Go2Guru, an independent publishing business whose books have received international recognition. Her writing explores themes of self-understanding, survival, Jewish identity, emotional intelligence, and spiritual courage. With experience in fashion journalism, wellness, and personal development, Goldstein is recognized for her intellectual rigor and emotional honesty in addressing topics relevant to her readers. She has also studied counseling and Jungian philosophy.

Goldstein has managed chronic lung disease for years, with frequent hospitalizations. During a critical illness, a visit from Rabbi Eli Schlanger, who performed traditional prayers at her bedside, marked a turning point in her recovery. This experience led to ongoing conversations with Rabbi Schlanger about faith and spirituality, which Goldstein later decided to document. Their discussions, structured around the Noahide Laws, reflect the Jewish intellectual tradition and invite readers to engage with ethical teachings through a question-and-answer format. Shortly before the completion of their collaborative book, Rabbi Schlanger was killed in a terrorist attack during a Chanukah celebration at Bondi Beach.

The resulting book, "Conversations With My Rabbi: Timeless Teachings for a Fractured World," is presented as a dialogue between Goldstein and Schlanger. The work aims to foster understanding and combat antisemitism by building bridges between communities. Goldstein, who describes herself as an "accidental mystic Jew," continues to explore questions of faith, spirituality, and Jewish identity through her journalism and writing.
